Following the November elections, when President Obama’s party lost control of the House, Obama told America that where he can’t legislate, he will regulate. And that seems to be this Administration’s modus operandi: If Congress refuses to abide by Obama’s agenda, the President’s bureaucratic machine will make its own laws.

This video is a bit long, but worth watching. What has happened in Ireland has happened everywhere. Our wealth, our future, our properties, have been ransomed to bail out the banks. Why did we allow this? Why aren't more people speaking out in outrage?

YID With LID: G.M. Asks Congress, Please Screw The Public To Help Us Sell More Fuel Efficient Cars
Are you surprised that the CEO of G.M. is now a "mouthpiece" for the Obama Administration? After all, Obama saved them from imminent bankruptcy, with YOUR TAX DOLLARS I might add!
We have already lost money on this deal. I say boycott G.M. products and let them CRASH and BURN!

Carbon Tax Favours Foreigners - by Viv Forbes
June 2011 - Please Spread Around.
A print-ready pdf of this Carbon Sense Newsletter can be downloaded by clicking here:
The Carbon Sense Coalition today claimed that Australia's proposed carbon tax will favour foreigners at the expense of Australians.
The Chairman of “Carbon Sense” Mr Viv Forbes said that with the Kyoto foolishness collapsing, it was unwise of the Gillard government to impose more costs than our competitors will face.
"Coal produces the cheapest electricity in most areas of the world, especially in the modern clean power stations being constructed in Asia and India. Many of these plants will rely on imports of high quality Australian coal and the cheap power they produce will be supplied to Asian manufacturing and processing plants competing with Australian industry.
"The aim of the carbon tax is to increase the domestic cost of carbon fuels like coal, oil products and gas. This is designed to force Australian industry and consumers to use high-cost non-carbon energy options like wind and solar power. In many industries such as transport, green energy is not feasible and the carbon tax will thus merely add to the costs of fuel.
"The Green/ALP carbon tax coalition is thus asking Australian industry and exporters to use expensive energy while we supply cheap energy to their competitors.
"This policy of cheap energy for foreigners but not for locals is a path signposted with promises of paradise, but paved with poverty for those forced to tread there."
Radical greens should spend World Environment Day doing penance for all the damage their mis-guided policies have done to the world's natural environment.
Only rich societies have the leisure and resources to care for their environment but green policies threaten to make us all poorer.
Where people have a daily struggle to find the food and fuel to survive, concern for the environment is not a consideration.
Everywhere we look we see unintended consequences of foolish green policies that are directly harming the wild environment.
Probably the worst damage is a result of their mindless promotion of wind energy. Their demands for ever higher wind power targets can only be achieved when wind towers and their associated roads and transmission links scar and uglify every wild mountain and every exposed headland. Then their whirling scythes will shred even more bird and bat populations in all the wild places.
See: http://savetheeaglesinternational.org/
Greens should also ask for forgiveness for their misguided campaign to turn plants into ethanol and biofuels. They should apologise for all the forests turned into regimented plantations producing palm oil and carbon credits and all the natural grasslands ploughed up for monocultures of ethanol crops.
Before the use of coal and oil for energy, the wild environment was being stripped of trees for firewood, crops and pastures were consumed by armies of horses and working bullocks, and whales were hunted for whale oil for lamps. Coal and oil saved the forests, the pastures and the whales. Today's "pretend greens" are turning back the clock to those dark days when burning biofuels to produce energy for heating lighting and transport was the only option for humans.
On this world environment day, greens should resolve to repeal all the silly energy policies that take us back to the dark days when the environment was ravaged to provide fuel.

Lights on for "Earth Hour"
A statement by Viv Forbes, Chairman of the Carbon Sense Coalition.
For Immediate Release, 25 March 2011
The Carbon Sense Coalition said today that celebrating “Blackout Night” at the time of the March equinox, half-way between mid-summer and mid-winter in both hemispheres, shows that "Earth Hour" is nothing more than green tokenism.
The Chairman of “Carbon Sense”, Mr Viv Forbes, said that this date, with the sun exactly on the equator, was cynically placed on the mildest night of the year to ensure that the candles and champagne parties are unlikely to be inconvenienced by summer heat or winter snow.
"Sensible people know that the sun, the planets and the seasons control earth's cycles of weather and climate, and they appreciate man's magic of electricity which allows them to moderate nature's periodic extremes of heat and cold at the flick of a switch.
“Instead of sneering at human achievements, they should salute the people who provide light, heat and cooling for the other 364 days of the year.
“Our salute will be to turn on every light on our property, and we urge all supporters to do the same."

Guidance Residential - Sharia compliant mortgages from J. P. Morgan Chase
Watching television the other day, I heard a familiar tune in the background of a J. P. Morgan Chase commercial. It was Cat Steven’s “The Wind”. Cat Stevens was a favorite of mine in high school, and I, like Dennis Miller, am really ticked off with what Islam did to him. He stopped making music and changed his name to Yusuf Islam.
Fast forward back to today, and I became a little curious as to why his song is in an American banking commercial. Ever the researcher, I “googled” J. P. Morgan Chase and Sharia and guess what? J. P. Morgan Chase is now providing Sharia compliant mortgage financing for homebuyers and refinance mortgages for homeowners. The program is called Guidance Residential.
I wonder what happens when someone defaults!

Why Wind Won't Work? - It's Weaker Than Water
Great in-depth analysis of wind power from Viv Forbes of Carbon Sense Coalition
Why are governments still mollycoddling wind power?
There is no proof that wind farms reduce carbon dioxide emissions and it is ludicrous to believe that a few windmills in Australia are going to improve global climate.
Such wondrous expressions of green faith put our politicians on par with those who believe in the tooth fairy.
The wind is free but wind power is far from it. Its cost is far above all conventional methods of generating electricity.
Tax payers funding this "Wind Welfare" and consumers paying the escalating power bills are entitled to demand proof.
Not only is there no climate justification for wind farms, but they are also incapable of supplying reliable or economical power.
It is also surprising those who claim to be defenders of the environment can support this monstrous desecration of the environment.
Wind power is so dilute that to collect a significant quantity of wind energy will always require thousands of gigantic towers each with a massive concrete base and a network of interconnecting heavy duty roads and transmission lines. It has a huge land footprint.
Then the operating characteristics of turbine and generator mean that only a small part of the wind's energy can be captured.
Finally, when they go into production, wind turbines slice up bats and eagles, disturb neighbours, reduce property values and start bushfires.
Wind power is intermittent, unreliable and hard to predict. To cover the total loss of power when the wind drops or blows too hard, every wind farm needs a conventional back-up power station (commonly gas-fired) with capacity of twice the design capacity of the wind farm to even out the sudden fluctuations in the electricity grid. This adds to the capital and operating costs and increases the instability of the network.
Why bother with the wind farm – just build the backup and achieve lower costs and better reliability?
There is no justification for continuing the complex network of state and federal subsidies, mandates and tax breaks that currently underpin construction of wind farms in Australia. If wind power is sustainable it will be developed without these financial crutches.
Wind power should compete on an equal basis with all other electricity generation options.

Understanding derivatives - A primer (Hat Tip to New Zeal)
Heidi is the proprietor of a bar in Detroit .
She realizes that virtually all of her customers are unemployed alcoholics and, as such, can no longer afford to patronize her bar.
To solve this problem, she comes up with a new marketing plan that allows her customers to drink now, but pay later.
Heidi keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger (thereby granting the customers' loans).
Word gets around about Heidi's "drink now, pay later" marketing strategy and, as a result, increasing numbers of customers flood into Heidi's bar. Soon she has the largest sales volume for any bar in Detroit ...
